Supporting emerging artists.
Since the creation of its festival, founded in 1998 by the American bass-baritone Richard Cowan, Lyrique-en-mer has ensuredaccompaniement and the training young singers through his Young Artists Program since 25 years.
Belle-Île, famous for its natural beauty, has been a source of inspiration for artists for centuries, and Lyrique-en-mer is now well anchored in the cultural life of the island.
This training offers a program that is both intensive, varied and rewarding, and thus offers a unique experience to young singers of the academy. It is led by its artistic director, conductor Philip Walsh and accompanied by a team of internationally renowned directors, singers and musicians.
Each promotion acquires a unique experience by joining the Lyrique-en-mer Festival team. Each summer, young artists selected by the artistic director actively participate in the various productions of our summer season.
This opportunity allows them to rub shoulders with seasoned artists, all engaged in remarkable careers within prestigious venues such as the Paris Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, and many others. These soloists offer them masterclasses enriching, providing invaluable advice for their professional lives.
