The story of Come Sing!
In 2018, for the 20th anniversary of the Festival Lyrique-en-Mer, Philip Walsh, musical director, proposed, based on the English model All singing, to form an ephemeral choir over a day, in order to rehearse a work then offer it in concert with an orchestra, over a single day. All singing had arrived in Belle-Île, Venez Chanter was born!
The choristers (from all regions) personally work on the chosen work and meet, on the big day, in Belle-Île for a day of rehearsals ending with a public concert. It was to be a unique event but given the enthusiasm of the 200 choristers gathered at the first edition, Venez Chanter has remained included in the programming every year since (except during the Covid years).
Today, the enthusiasm is still there! From December onwards, we receive messages: Will there be Come Sing Day this summer? Do you know the date to organize our visit to Belle Ile? What is the chosen work, we can't wait to work on it?

Informations pratiques
Journée atelier chant Venez Chanter sous la direction de Philip Walsh avec le pianiste et les solistes du festival pour un effectif limité à 130 personnes.
- Rappel du principe de la journée :
Chaque choriste rejoint le chœur éphémère de ce jour en ayant préparé personnellement ou dans sa chorale les extraits d’opéra au programme. Nous répétons ensemble avec un pianiste ainsi qu’avec les solistes. Nous donnons un unique concert en fin de journée.
- Déroulé de la journée :
A partir de 9h15 : Accueil – Salle Arletty
10h30 – 13h15 : Atelier chant avec pianiste-Salle Arletty
13h15 – 14h15 : Déjeuner pique-nique
14h30- 17h00 : Atelier chant avec le pianiste et les solistes – Eglise Le Palais
18h30 : Concert – Eglise Le Palais
Participation
La participation à la journée atelier « Venez Chanter » est de 25€, gratuit pour les choristes du chœur du Festival.
L’inscription est possible dès à présent selon deux possibilités :
- Soit en suivant le lien inscription en ligne (paiement sécurisé).
- Soit en téléchargeant le formulaire papier à renvoyer accompagné de votre paiement (toutes les informations sur le formulaire).
Important : Passage bateau : Les choristes, venant spécifiquement à Belle-Ile pour cette journée, pourront bénéficier d’un tarif culturel sur leur passage en bateau. Nous vous informerons prochainement des modalités de cette réservation (valable pour un A/R le 2 août aux horaires suivants : départ de Quiberon à 8h15 et retour à 20h20). Si vous voulez profiter de ce tarif spécial, n’achetez pas vos billets individuellement auprès de la Compagnie Océane.
Si vos proches souhaitent venir vous écouter, nous vous informerons dès que la billetterie du concert sera ouverte.
