Carmen Investigation: opera reinvented by a new generation!
Edited by Solenn Le Berre and Jazmin Black GrollemundThe Lyrique-en-mer festival presents a bold, modern new version of Carmen, performed by students from collège Michel Lotte.
Immersed in a unique artistic adventure, these young people explored the work from several angles throughout the year: singing, writing, video and stage acting, guided by professionals (lyric artists, composer, teachers and the Les Tempestaires association).
To mark the 150th anniversary of Carmen, they revisit this classic with a contemporary reflection on freedom, consent and equality.
Join us on May 16 and 17 to (re)discover Carmen, with the Michel Lotte choir.
